The PST023 is the adapter card that supports VGA display, COM3 and COM4

for the CRT type PST systems. This card can also be added to the LCD type of PST

systems as an option for obtaining 2 more serial ports and a monitoring VGA

connector. At the lowest part on this card the P1 connector is a 3 x 5 pin D type

female sub-miniature connector for the VGA display with +12V DC power supplied.

In case this port is to be connected to any display device other than the original one

supplied by the manufacturer, the possibility of short-circuiting due to this power

supply must be carefully considered.

The COM3 serial communication port is a 9 pin D type male sub-miniature

connector located above the VGA connector. The COM4 serial communication port is

another 9 pin D type male sub-miniature connector on an I/O plate connected to a 2 x

5 pin header on the PST023 card. Both COM ports support +5V DC and +12V DC

power individually.
